Fractured pelvis 14 places, with coccyx and sacrum problems

Shannon Foster - sphagnum@earthlink.net

I was in a serious auto accident in which among other things I had broken my pelvis in 14 different places. This changed my whole mid area. My sacrum and coccyx are very prominent. The point at which they connect protrudes out, and causes me much pain with my coccyx bent inward and left.

I'm five months into my recovery and wanted my coccyx removed. The spine surgeon told me to try pain shots and manipulation. This scares me since my pelvis has many screws and plates holding it together. I actually have one long screw that attaches to my sacrum bone. I am wondering if anyone has a broken pelvis along with the problem with the coccyx, and what they have done to fix the problem.
