Hi, everyone. I'm a 22 year old female from Southern California. One drunken night, I was squatting down, while waiting for my friend to park my car in the garage. The area right next to the garage is slanted, so I guess that's how I lost my balance. I fell back, right on my coccyx and or the sacrum with five inch heels, which means I fell about fifteen inches on my bum. I didn't realize I was injured because the alcohol masked the pain. I walked up the stairs and fell asleep.
When I woke up, my tailbone felt really weird and painful. I felt two bones sticking out. I went to the chiropractor to have an x-ray, and what do you know, the tip of the tailbone was bent inwards. Before this incident had happened, my tailbone stuck out a lot more than most people to begin with so I was more prone to this type of accident.
I'm not in as much pain as I was, but it still hurts to sit after 30 minutes or so. I was in bed for three months. I cried everyday. I thought I was gonna be paralyzed for the rest of my life. This incident happened on February 4, 2006. I also tried to align the two bones vertically by manipulating it myself after reading the directions on this site. I don't know.
This type of pain is hard for "other" people to understand. Does anyone have two bones sticking out like me? Write me an email, and tell me about your situation. Bye.
