May 2007- I had a fall down the stairs and started experiencing pain sitting, on and off. After approx. 1 month I started experiencing pelvic "rug burn" pain. This escalated to my tail bone, pelvis, back of buttocks, thighs (front and back).
I was diagnosed with a "gastric issue" then a "Pelvic pain disorder"...put on morphine (90 mg daily), and diludid (8 mg every 2 hrs), as well as Cymbalta. This pain medication worked, however I had lost 35 lbs in 4 months.
After this and approx. 20 physicians, I was diagnosed with musculoskeletal pelvic dysfunction due to my coccyx injury. I have had 8 nerve blocks, an epidural, A Tens Unit, steroid injections... nothing is working- not even physical therapy.
I am now on Norco and Valium suppositories, however at best I am at a "5".
I am wondering if there is anyone out there with the same pelvic issues related to this?
They are suggesting removal of the coccyx, however I am wondering if anyone has tried botox for their pelvic pain? Or would that basically mask the underlining issue?
