Horse riding accident, coccyx now removed

I fractured my coccyx nearly 2 years ago at the age of 13 in a horse riding accident but have only got them removed five days ago. My doctor had tried an injection in my back but it did not work so they decided to give me the operation.

The operation was simple and I was allowed to go home the next day. I was sick and I have been on tablets since the operation. I haven't sat down yet due to the pain, or lie on my back but walking is not too bad. The pain was agonising the next 2 days but after that it dies down. I cannot wait to get back to normal and start riding horses again.

If anyone is thinking about surgery I would say go for it. What made me decide to have the operation was the thought of not being able to sit properly or ride a bike or ride a horse again. I am getting physio because of the pain in the rest of my back due to sitting in odd positions to compensate for the coccyx pain.
