A plastic surgeon performed a Coccyx removal surgery on my Mother in December 2010 without giving her x-rays or even taking blood tests before hand. She doesn't have insurance so he performed the surgery in his office at a discount price. I am wondering if this is common?? Have any of you had surgery without prior tests? She is having worse pain then before and I'm not sure what to do now.

If anyone can give me any information on whether they got x-rays and blood work before surgery, or if they have had a similar experience, I would really like to hear from you. My email address is hidideldee@aol.com, please put "coccyx pain" on the subject line of your email so I don't accidentally send it to my spam folder.

Thank in advance!!

Dee
