My coccyx pain is 70% better

I started suffering from Coccydynia a year ago now. After many diagnostic tests, MRI scans, CT scans, X-rays, SPECT-CT scans, nothing could be found at all and therefore the diagnosis of coccydynia was 100% confirmed. Before finding Michael Durtnall (see Doctors and specialists in the UK, London), I saw two separate consultants; one of which recommended nerve blockers for the coccyx pain I would get whenever sitting and going from sitting to standing. The other recommendation I had was spinal injections once a year or so. I was determined not to go down these routes as logic told me that these would only be temporary fixes, just masking the pain, but not actually treating the root cause of the pain. I worried that by taking the nerve blockers or having the spinal injections, I would only be sitting on the coccyx all the time without feeling pain and therefore doing further damage in the long-run. Noone I saw prior to Michael could give me any answer as to the actual CAUSE and to really get this solved long-term.

I started seeing Michael Durtnall 3 months ago now. I almost gave up after around 5 treatments or so as I was not seeing improvement. Michael reassured me to stick with the treatment and that this had been the case for some patients in the past. I trusted him as he is hugely knowledgeable and therefore took this advice and stuck with the treatment (I am so glad I did). Shortly after, I started to see improvement in my coccyx pain, slowly at first, with improvements of about 10% each week that I saw Michael for a treatment. Fast forward to a couple of months later, I would say my coccyx pain is 70% better and has been life changing. I can sit down for an hour without a doughnut cushion (previously I could not sit down for 30 seconds without a doughnut cushion without soaring pain upon standing). It was safe to say it was ruining my life and I questioned whether I would be able to sit normally ever again taking the doughnut cushion on holiday, to restaurants, on flights. I genuinely felt like it was a disability that I would never get rid of. At 70% improvement, other than a long flight or car journey, I don't take the doughnut cushion around anywhere anymore. Michael has not only treated the cause of the pain through improving my posture and physio on the area, but it has been life changing in terms of improving my quality of life.

I cannot recommend Michael Durtnall enough. For anyone who is unsure whether the ongoing cost for this treatment is worth it (as I was sceptical a few treatments in until I started seeing huge progress), there is no money better spent in my opinion than on something that is so debilitating. This has made a huge improvement to my life and I am no longer anxious everyday about how I will solve this as Michael Durtnall has done just that.

Update, 2023-07-09

I have had no coccyx pain for a year or so now, and it has just started to return slowly, but mildly. So I thought it would be best to book in with Michael/The Clinic to nip this in the bud before I regress any further!
