Dextrose prolotherapy cured the coccyx pain

I am 60 years old and I have been bicycling since I could remember. I started slowly feeling a dull pain at the base of my spine, I brushed it off and didn't think much of it. But suddenly it started affecting my sleep, I couldn't sit properly and I even became depressed.
I went to my local GP here in Sweden called "vårdcentral" and first they just gave me some pain killers and told me to rest. They could not give me any diagnosis and I was told to just rest and give it a few months. They did not give me any diagnosis, I spent so much time and money on chiropractors, physiotherapy, massages. NOTHING worked!
I started reading about prolotherapy which is a method commonly used in USA. However here in Sweden I could not find any doctor that could do this, until I was recommended Dr. Hivar Kaftan (see Doctors and specialists in Sweden) who is an expert in prolotherapy and had great knowledge and empathy for patients with chronic coccydynia. After two sessions of dextrose prolotherapy I am healed, and I am so grateful for his help. I'm back to bicycling and now I am even taking my grandchildren.

I emailed more than a year after this story was posted, to ask for an update, as the long-term outcome of treatment is of great interest. In this case I did not get a reply.
